GitHub Integration

Install and configure the GitHub integration so repositories can participate in decision-aware workflows.

Use /integrations/github to connect the DecisionOps GitHub App, claim installations, sync repositories, and verify that pull-request governance can work against the repositories you care about.

Install, Claim, Sync

The GitHub workflow has three distinct steps:

  1. Install the GitHub App in GitHub
  2. Claim that installation inside DecisionOps
  3. Sync the repositories into the workspace

Installation happens in GitHub, but DecisionOps still needs the installation to be linked to the correct organization. Repository sync is what makes those repositories available for assignment and policy configuration inside the dashboard.

Why This Matters

GitHub integration powers repository discovery and PR governance workflows. Without it, the dashboard can still manage decisions, but pull-request checks and repository syncing will remain incomplete.

Troubleshooting

If installation finished in GitHub but the dashboard still looks disconnected, the most common missing step is the claim. If the installation is claimed but repositories are missing, run sync and then review project assignment.
