Quickstart

Choose Your Path

Decide whether to start in the dashboard, with GitHub-connected workflows, or from the IDE and MCP path.

DecisionOps supports both a control-plane workflow in the web app and an in-flow workflow in the IDE. The easiest way to choose is to ask what you are trying to do right now.

Use the web app when you are setting up or governing. That includes signing in, finishing onboarding, creating or switching workspaces, organizing projects and repositories, inviting members, creating API keys, connecting GitHub, reviewing monitoring signals, and managing rules or overrides.

Use the IDE path when you are making a decision while coding. That includes connecting an MCP client, authorizing access, searching existing decisions for context, drafting a new decision from the task in front of you, validating it against your organization’s constraints, and publishing it without leaving the coding flow for every step.

Quick Guide

If your question sounds like "How do we set this up?" or "Who can change this?", start in the web app. If your question sounds like "What did we decide before?" or "How do I capture this change while I’m coding?", start in the IDE guides.
