Governance
Decision Review Cycles
Review cycles help teams revisit active decisions before they become stale or are repeatedly overridden in practice.
Good governance is recurring, not one-time.
Review cycles are useful when:
- a decision affects many repositories
- the underlying technology or product strategy is changing quickly
- pull request checks are showing repeated conflicts or overrides
- the original owners have changed
A lightweight review cadence often produces better results than waiting for a large cleanup later.
