Superseding Decisions
Replace older guidance intentionally while keeping a clear, searchable history of what changed.
Supersede a decision when a newer record intentionally replaces an older accepted one.
Use supersede when:
- the team has made a new choice
- the old guidance should no longer drive implementation
- you want history to remain visible and understandable
Do not use supersede for simple edits or wording cleanup. Those belong in normal revision history.
